On self-leadership:
My journey into self-leadership has been life-encompassing. Caught in a house fire as a child, a single parent in adult hood, perimenopause in midlife, and a recent diagnosis with breast cancer. Life cauldrons on their own., a vortex when folded one on the other, and a prism to re-encounter every aspect of self and emerge.
Along the way, I have come to believe that self-leadership is part of our natural state of being and innate to us all. If we allow ourselves to become fully attuned to this natural state, we can re-encounter our own wisdom, pure creativity and unmanifested potential, radically pioneering new possibilities. And that can apply as much to moving life forward as it can to a new hobby. Creativity borne from inspiration is at the heart of it all.
And enlightenment? Yes, that is possible, too. Enlightenment is open to every single person on this wonderful planet we call Earth and is nothing to do with religion and everything to do with our inner work. This may happen. It may not.
But every person has the option to rethink their thinking. Guide their way through midlife. Embrace their current self and feel happier. Encounter greater purpose, meaning, and fulfilment. Find a more evolved way to live that works uniquely for them.
On writing:
Stories are like breathing. When I write, I can be anyone, anywhere and there is no limit to what I can create. When i sit down to write, I lose track of time - writing takes over. Story ideas can come from anywhere and it can take years for a story idea to make its way onto the page. My writer's diary notebooks are essential tools to help me track inspiration as it happens, for later reference. They are so like a treasure journal that I frequently refer to them like that. Once inspiration takes hold, that is it. Every day I am sketching ideas and outlines (I'm a big fan of spider diagrams), researching, noodling and re-noodling, until I take a deep breath and start to commit.
Creatively, I'm a multi-genre author. My first two novels blend my love of smart fiction, fast-paced storytelling, soul-exploration, psychology and authentic, eclectic characters. My first novel reached #3 on the Amazon bestseller lists and my second is released in paperback and ebook and getting 5* reviews on Amazon. My creative journey continues. You can find out more here and on Instagram and Facebook. Thank you for being part of my journey.
